"A wild ride and stunning book" is a great way to
review the book the miles between by Mary E. Pearson. Pearson has also written
the novel the Adoration of Jenna Fox.
Destiny, the main character has been sent away to multiple
places, since she was seven years old. Now she is at Hedgebrook, where she has
been for two years. After staying her distance and straying away while trying
not to get attactched to her Hedgebrook classmates, One day out of the
ordinary destiny and three of her fellow classmates come together, after she
comes across a mysterious stranger. Not only that but Destiny finds car
that her and her classmates decided to take a journey with. They were on the
verge to take a trip and have a "fair" day.
This novel unfolds unexpected events that centers around a
group of friends, that explores the different obstacles of life, friendship,
and unrolling fate. This story shows and tells the perspective of Destiny's
thoughts. Which shows it is written in first person point of view.
Readers can quickly envelope the fact of the reason each
teenager wants a fair day, and life in the perspective of each of them. Roads
and paths can lead you places that you may never expect.
besides many questions being wondered and my curiosity level
with this book I would personally recommend this book to others. The Miles
Between not only, is a attention grabber by the first page but it gives a good
message. Even though some characters were left undeveloped I'm sure readers
will enjoy reading this book as much as I did.
