The Death Cure

I have read and completed The Death Cure by James Dashner. This is the third book in the Maze Runner trilogy. This book like its others are very puzzling ,and require to stop and think of what you just read.  This story hardly breaks off from the constant action and puzzle from this story that provides an excellent example of teamwork to accomplish goals.

The main character Thomas has just awoken in a strange place where he is confronted with a known nemesis the Rat Man or Assistant Director Janson as he likes to call himself tells of what lies ahead. When Thomas is finally regrouped with his friends Newt and Minho and another group of well known acquaintances Newt, Thomas, and Minho devise a plan to bust out of the seeming like prison. While looking for the right moment a very good friend of Thomas shows up Brenda. With the help of Brenda the four of them know of a pilot by the name of Jorge that must break out and find a way to end WICKED's tyranny.

With this exciting plot you should not resist starting the Maze Runner trilogy. With its seemingly never ending puzzle and action filled story line. This series creates the perfect adventure, action backed, and brain busting puzzle that is a must read

The Death Cure

The author of this book is James Dashner.  He has written two other books in the Maze Runner Series. The other books in the series are The Maze Runner and The ScorchTrials. The Death Cure is the last in this series of books. Additionally, there is one other book in the series that is the Prequel of the books; and it was written after the Death Cure.   This book is called The Kill Order.  The Death Cure focuses on a virus called the “Flare”, that is solar radiation that destroys a person’s mental capacity that eventually kills them.  However, some individuals are immune to the virus.

The Death Cure, as with all of the other books in the series, focuses on a boy named Thomas, as well as his friends Minho, Brenda, and Newt.  They and many other kids are attempting to escape from Wicked, a group of men and women that are trying to find a cure to the “Flare”.  Wicked can’t be trusted.   They forced Thomas and several other kids his age to go through a series of trials to test their brain for the cure, and their memories have been erased.   Wicked has now said that the time for lies is over and that they have collected all the data they need to complete the one final test for the cure.  However, Thomas, his friends, and the other kids have been forced to go through a maze and across the hottest part of the Earth by Wicked and they don’t want to go through any more tests and lose any more life.

I was interested in this book right from the very beginning because I believe that James Dashner is a great author and this book was just as amazing as the others in the series. While you’re reading it you will be at the edge of your seat almost through the whole story. Additionally, when you begin to read you will feel that you’re in the story because the author makes you feel like you know each character in the story.  Therefore, I definitely recommend this action packed book for any person who enjoys reading science fiction.
