Collin Fischer is a book about a kid named Collin Fischer (I
don’t think I needed to say that). He is just starting high school, and is
already getting swirlies. There are 2 major bullies in his grade: Wayne Connelly, and
Rudy Moore. They make fun of Collin because he has a disorder similar to
autism. He will always explain everything with so much detail it occasionally
gets personal. He meets up with Melissa Greer, who is Collins only friend (so
far). Over the summer did a better job with her hygiene. No more zits, no more
dandruff. A lot prettier. Wayne asks her to call him when he sees her. She just
walks away with Collin. Then she talks about how much she missed Collin, and
writes her phone number in Collin’s extremely personal notebook. In ink.
According to Collin, she ruined it.
Rudy knows a lot of specific noises annoy Collin so much,
that he will drop to the floor and curl up into a ball. He makes those noises
on purpose. Then a few days later, Melissa is having a party at school for her
birthday. Wayne Connelly, and Rudy Moore were fighting over a piece of cake.
Collin decided to get closer, and closer, and closer, and closer. Then they
hear a gun shot go off. Every body runs, except for Collin. He sees a gun on
the floor, and its smothered in cake. He then goes to the office a couple days
later and says that Wayne is innocent. He says this in front of the principle,
vice principal, and 2 police officers. They all tell Collin not to worry about
who is a suspect, and who is not. Will
Collin be able to prove Wayne innocent? Read Collin Fischer to find out.
Collin Fischer is a good book for people who like mysteries.
This book also has a lot of suspense in it, if you read a chapter at a time. It
has a great storyline, and I highly recommend it.
