The House of Hades

The book that I have finished Reading is the House of Hades by Rick Riordan. This book is the fourth installment in The Heroes of Olympusseries.

This Book tells the story of Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Leo, Piper, Hazel, and Frank as they try to close the Doors of Death. Percy and Annabeth are trying to find a way out of Tartarus and to the Doors of Death on their side while the rest of the group is trying to find the Doors of Death in the mortal world so  monsters can stay dead. Over the course of the book many of the characters change and you learn a very big secret about Nico. They are also trying to prevent a war between the two demigod camps called Camp Jupiter (Roman demigods) and Camp Half-Blood (Greek demigods) before they destroy each other.

I would recommend the book because it keeps a good pace and builds a lot of suspense. I think it is the best one yet and can’t wait for the fifth and final book.

The House of Hades

Title: The Heroes of Olympus; The house of hades is the the fourth book in the Heroes  of olympus series. Written by Rick Riordan, it has many mythological references and is based on old myths. In the previous books, Percy and Annabeth were sent falling to tartarus, and the crew on the argo 2 are looking for the doors of death.

Summary: Percy and Annabeth are in trouble and the crew is on its way to the doors of death. Percy and Annabeth are falling towards tartarus, the darkest, deepest, most dangerous part of the underworld. With danger and monsters lurking everywhere,  their chances of survival are torn to almost nothing. Meanwhile, Jason, Piper, Leo, Frank, Hazel, Nico, and Coach Hedge are on their way to the house of hades to close the doors of death. Hazel receives a gift that she must learn to use to survive their quest, and a secret that has been buried for decades will be revealed! In this action packed book you will be left wanting to read more and more

Why I recommend this book: I really recommend this book. It is filled with action, adventure, humor, and a great plot. The structure of the story is full of cliffhangers and changes points of view which leaves the reader wanting to read more and find out what happens next. I recommend this book and all other books by Rick Riordan

House of Hades

Rick Riordan has written many other books including Percy Jackson series and heroes of Olympus seriesHouse of Hades is the fourth book in the heroes of Olympus saga and continues the story of the series. The message I thought the author was trying to get across is never give up even with all the odds against you.

House of Hades follows a group of demi gods as they race to close the doors of death in both the over and the under worlds. This book picks up right where the last one ends with Percy and Annabeth stuck in Tartarus fighting their way through monsters and enemies. At the same time Jason and the others are having their own problems dealing with gods and monsters all trying to stop them from getting to Greece and stopping the evil god Gaia from rising.

I liked the book it gave the quest even more urgency as now there is less time and more things to do as ever even though I think the title of the book house of hades is a little misleading because they never do make it there. If you have read previous books in the series this book is a must read otherwise it wouldn’t make much sense as it mostly focuses on the existing characters and doesn’t add new ones.
