The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Perks Of Being A Wallflower is written by Stephen Chbosky. Stephen Chbosky has written many novels but the the perks of being a wallflower was the book that peaked his success of being a writer. The perks of being a wallflower is about a fifteen year old boy name Charlie who is coping with the lost of his best friend who commited suicide over the summer, so charlie starts feeling anxiety about starting high school with no friends so he starts writing letters to a stranger about his life.

Later in the book charlie gets really close to his english teacher and he helps charlie with shyness eventually charlie meets a guy name patrick and have a really nice friendship from there first encounter with each other during class and after there little conversation patrick takes charlie to meet his step sister sam who charlie develops a crush on throughout the story. At the end of story a big secret charlie has been keeping from his parents is unrevealed to them which makes do some harsh things that lead him to go to the hospital and receive treatment and there in that hospital is where charlie sends off his last letter to the stranger which makes chairle notice that  he wants to get out of his head and into the real world, participating in life instead of just watching it fly by

I enjoyed reading this book I would recommend this book to any teen and up, because the book goes through a lot of rough moments that people in our generation would go through in their everyday life. This book shows that even if you are a shy wallflower you can always find the right people or person to help comfort you with their presence. These people could bring you out your shell and show you that you a bright star hiding behind your scars and flaws In life.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Hi my name is Desmond, the title of my book is the perks of being a Wallflower and the author is Stephen chbosky. This book is better than the books u read because it's a book about life, losing people who are important to you, starting a new chapter in life also drama of high school. The purpose of this book is to entertain the reader and the theme of the book is back in the 80s.

The story is about a boy named Charlie he tells us what's going on in his life everyday. He finds out his friend died  then his aunt helen died also his brother leaves for college. Now Charlie is starting high school and life is changing all around him. He begins to fall in love with one of his friends but the book is really interesting because there's a lot going on. In the 3 page of the book it talks about charlie needing therapy because his friend died and he felt like he wasn't there for him.

I liked the book because it reminded of catcher in the rye a book just like the wallflower that's what made me pick this book. This book was written for his family because without him the book wouldn't have been out. You should read this book if you  like drama and like to laugh.

Perks of Being a Wallflower

Perks of Being a Wallflower is absolutely amazing. It really captures the life of teenager. We have fun but we also go through a lot. As we get older some of us forget about that. We forget that after kindergarten and even in kindergarten school can suck for the ones outside of the norm. I really think it something you should read again and again.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

“It is the story of what it’s like to grow up in high school.” Charlie’s letters are not only amusing but also overwhelming and captivating. Charlie is exposed to a world of girls, new friends, and many new experiences that will change his life forever. As Charlie takes us through his journey of life he shows us the positives and negatives of growing up.

This story is humorous, dramatic and addicting. The reader sees how certain things can be turned into serious situations quickly. This story is written in first person point of view of Charlie. Reading Charlie’s letters makes the reader feel as if you are a part of the story, as though he is telling the story directly to you. As you read further into the story you began to see the character’s breaking point and the shocking cause of it.

This book is intriguing and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story ends with a sense of peace and conformation that Charlie’s life will go on even through unexpected life experiences.
