Middle School, The Worst Years of My Life

The name of the book I read was called Middle School, TheWorst Years of My Life. The author of this story is James Patterson. James Patterson has written plenty other books like: Witch and Wizard, 1st to Die, and the sequel Middle School, Get Me Out of Here. This book is about a kid named Rafe Khatchadorian who has just entered the 6th grade and hates school. The theme of this book would be family life or middle school, because conflicts at home are equally as bad as they are at school. In this book Rafe writes in a notebook all of the school rules and is destined to break all of them until something goes terribly wrong.

Rafe Khatchadorian a first year middle school student and new trouble maker. Rafe does not enjoy school and enjoys the rules even less. Rafe writes a notebook of the school rules and crosses them off when he breaks one of them. He also write about his crush Jeanne. But everything changes when the notebook gets into the hands of the school bully. Some of the main characters of this story is Rafe Khatchadorian, Jeanne Galleta, Miller “The Killer”, and Leonardo the Silent. A quote from this book that I found really interesting was “Every masterpiece comes at the end of a long line of failures” (Patterson 173).

This book was okay, I found it a little depressing though. I think that this book was a great story otherwise. If you are in middle school or just entered high school recommend this book to you because than it is kind of easier to relate to the characters in this book. In conclusion this was a good book for certain people, otherwise I don’t recommend buying it
