“It is the story of what it’s like to grow up in high
school.” Charlie’s letters are not only amusing but also overwhelming and
captivating. Charlie is exposed to a world of girls, new friends, and many new
experiences that will change his life forever. As Charlie takes us through his
journey of life he shows us the positives and negatives of growing up.
This story is humorous, dramatic and addicting. The reader
sees how certain things can be turned into serious situations quickly. This
story is written in first person point of view of Charlie. Reading Charlie’s
letters makes the reader feel as if you are a part of the story, as though he
is telling the story directly to you. As you read further into the story you
began to see the character’s breaking point and the shocking cause of it.
This book is intriguing and keeps you on the edge of your
seat. The story ends with a sense of peace and conformation that Charlie’s life
will go on even through unexpected life experiences.
