Cirque Du Freak: Vampire's Assistant

The Book I read is called “Cirque Du Freak : Vampires Assisstant. The  author of this book is Darren Shan, and he has made a series of the “Cirque Du Freak” books.  The book takes place in a small town, where the two friends Steve and Darren have their lives changed forever.

The book is about two friends in middle school (Darren, and his friend Steve). They are out in the town one night, and they pass a strange man who passes them a flyer. The flyer reads Cirque Du Freak and tells of a show going on for one night only. They decide to get the money to go to the circus and Darren is instantly in awe of Larten Creplsy’s spider, madame octa. He decides to come back to the circus after it is all closed, and steals the spider. He ends up getting the spider, and gains the ability to control it. He invites his friend steve to come over and play with his spider, but his life changes for good after that night. In all, I enjoyed the slow, and slowly unfolding story. Reading one page just makes you want to read and find out what happens next in the story.

The story of the book all together is striking. You get to learn all about what makes Darren the way he is. You also learn about how Darren adapts and perservers major obstacles in his life. The book in all was a great read. If your looking for a good way to keep your mind entertained with compelling story and plot, the Cirque Du Freak books are for you. I would highly recommend this to someone who also loves a long series of books, because theres plenty more story to unfold with the books.

  1. I think this would be a very good book to read because, I read it before and I think it is a good vampire book; I read the whole series for the book in 8th grade. when I first started to read it I thought it was not going to be okay, but it turned out good and I liked it. cirque du freak is a very entertaining book. I like entertaining stuff so this book was good for me to read. This story make sense because it goes in order and their is not one place in the story where he skips a part and goes on to another part; like some comic book, or other book.
