To All the Boys I've Loved Before

The book To All the Boys I've Loved before by Jenny Han is the first in the trilogy, followed by P.S. I Still Love You, and Always and Forever , Lara Jean.  I loved this book so much because, it was very realistic, beautifully written, the best romantic novel ever written and I love how one thing flowed into another so perfectly but also how well it reflected the conflicts of young adults today.

One of the main characters, Lara Jean writes a letter to every boy that she has ever loved and she puts them into envelopes and stamps them and doesn't send them, but instead keeps them in a box that her deceased mother had given her. Out of the blue they get sent, and coincidentally one of the boys she loved is her older sister Margot's ex-boyfriend, Josh. The whole family loved Josh, especially Kitty, the youngest sister of the three who herself might've had a crush on him. Lara Jean still has a small crush on him, but that would be wrong because Josh belongs to Margot even though they're broken up. One of the boys she use to loves name is Peter K, so to make things between her and Josh not awkward she says Peter K is her boyfriend. Peter goes along with it because he wants to make his ex-girlfriend Gen jealous. Peter and Lara Jean start hanging out in public to make themselves look like an actual couple. Josh doesn't like that. Peter and Josh almost get into a fight over Lara Jean and Kitty confesses to something that lead to Margot and Lara Jean getting into a fight for the very first time.

I loved this book because of how real it felt. It wasn't anything like a cliché movie like how some of the other romantic novels are written, besides the fact about how the letters get sent out this isn't a cliché at all. But besides that everything that happened in the book could happen in real life and that's what I loved the most, it's realness. I would recommend this book to anyone, because I normally don't read this genre of books, but I loved it anyway. I mainly read adventurous books however I loved this realistic romantic nonetheless. Everyone should try reading this book because it's worth the time and effort, again I don't typically read this genre of book but it was amazing and I'm glad I read it, you should read it too!

To All the Boys I've Loved Before

Lara Jean is 16 years old she is half Korean and half Caucasian. She has 2 sisters and she lives with her dad  and her mom died. She has a hat pad which was given to her by her mom, Lara is secretive girl she keeps all the letters she wrote for all the boys she loved once before, one of the boys she had crush was josh, josh was their neighbor for 5 years and he was boyfriend of her sister Margot, she gets to realize her feelings when her older sister leaves to study abroad and he comes back.

In order to control her feelings she wrote a long script of a letter, she wrote it when she was 14 years, when josh started dating her sister Margie instead of her. There was another boy name peter,he is among the boys she wrote letters to, when she was in eighth grade she was in the same group with peter and there was once he kissed her, later on when peter gets to read the letter she wrote to him and later on he asks her why she wrote those thing about him.  Lara was confused how he gets to know what she wrote. When she reached home she could she could not find her hat pad, the next day josh asked her about the letter and she ends up lying to him that she does not feel the same as she used to fell for him and tells him that she is finally dating someone, and that was peter. The next day she explains the situation to him and he agrees with her, because peter wanted a clean break.

The more she spends time together with peter. Lara used to get confused about her feelings. That was the reason that made josh to get jealous of peter. When Lara tried to solve the situation going on Josh ends up kissing her and telling her that he wants to be with her. While they were going for a trip peter tells Lara that he does not want to date her anymore, and there was a rumor going on that they slept together. Lara felt shame. So Lara was trying to avoid peter, by having josh on her side to protect her.

When Margot her sister comes  and ends up hearing the rumor about the kiss between Lara and Josh. Later on Lara and Margot understand each other but Lara is still angry with peter. Kitty admits her mistake for stealing her sister’s hat pad in order to get revenge on her for almost revealing her crush on josh. She also tells Lara that Peter cares much a lot for her and gives her back her hat pad filled with letters that Peter sent to Lara while in their fake-dating. When Lara reads the letters her heart was changed and that was the first time she took her pen and her paper to write a real love letter to Peter.

I liked this book because it just describes how teen live is and how they act toward friendship and dating. I felt like I am in this book because it is so attractive that it just kept me read more, this book has a lot of romance and confusion going on. I was unable to keep the book down because I wanted to know more on how thing went after confusion and after confusion and thing ended up been solved and cleared out.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before

The book I read is To all the boys I've loved before by Jenny Han. This is not the only book I've read from her. I'm currently reading P.S. I still love you. Lara jean's sister Margot is heading to college in Scotland and Lara jean's life kinda went upside down while Margot was gone.

Lara jean's mom gave her a box before she passed away. So Lara had an idea to write some letters to all the boys she loved before. Lara went to the park and saw Peter Kavinsky. Peter came up to Lara and asked about the letter she wrote to him, Lara jean was in shock because she didn't mail them out, someone anonymously sent them out to whomever she wrote about and now all of the boys are coming for her.

I would recommend this book to teenage girls because It has girl drama and love. I was interested in this book because all of the high school girls were reading it and I wanted to see what was so special about this book and now I know why.

BY JENNY HAN

Lara-jean song is half Korean, she is also innocent, she has always had a hopeless romantic life , she is caring and compassionate, and also trusting. Lara-jean song has written other books like “P.S I STILL LOVE YOU”,” THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY “ and so on. The theme of this book can be said to be love can make people do crazy things. Or people may not be the same as they may seem.

The story is about a girl who is named Lara-jean song, who puts love letters in an old hat box given to her by her mother, the love letters are been addressed to all the boys she has ever been in love with, even though she has never being in a real relationship. When the unbelievable happened, when the letters in the hat box was sent to all the boys, all she thought was how she was going to face them.

Lara-jean’s personality-naive when it comes to boys. The major boys who Lara jean can't face are Josh and Peter. Josh is the boy who lives next door and who is also in a relationship with Lara- jean’s sister(Margot), and who is also seen as a part of the family. And for Peter who is the most handsome and popular boy in school. When she knew the letters got to them she has being avoiding them , and for Josh she kissed him and doesn't want her sister(Margot) to know. Peter who she was having a pretence relationship with started falling in love with her, and she ended up almost having sex with him in a public bath tub of a camp, the next day the rumor came that she had sex in a camp public toilet with peter who is the most popular boy at school.

What struck me when Lara-jean found out her sister(Margot) had sex with Josh and knew that was the reason they broke up.

I liked the book because the story was enjoyable, the characters were easy to relate to, the pace was fast enough to keep a reader interested but still slow enough to make sense. The book was written based on her love of writing long love letters to boys who she had had crushes on.

Lara-jean song wrote the book for herself, and I think readers who like romantic novel would love to read the book because it's interesting.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before

The book I have read is, To all the boys I've loved before, by Jenny Han. Right now I am reading the sequel, P.S I still love you . She has published many other books, and I'm very excited for her next book this the series, To all the boys I've loved before, called Always and forever, Lara Jean.

This story is about teen romance, drama, and loyalty. Character Lara Jean Song Covey is a junior in high school, she sixteen years old, half Korean, and half Caucasian. She really close with her sister Margo Song Covey going off to college in Scotland, and her little sister Katherine (kitty) song Covey. They call themselves the three song girls, after their mother's maiden name who passed away. Lara jean has written 5 love letters she keeps him a blue hatbox her mother gave her. One of the boys is josh. Josh is dating Margo, Lara jean older sister. Soon later, Margo breaks up with josh because she didn't want to be the girl crying over her boyfriend back home all the way in Scotland. Soon after, Lara jean letters get sent out, and Peter Kavinsky confronted her saying, “For your information, I dont have STD’s”. She was confused at first as she realized he was talking about the letter. In shock, she tells him she wrote it a long time ago. Lara jean goes home and tries to find her has box, no success. She asked her father and he has taken it to Goodwill. Next day, Josh goes to Lara jean asking about the letter. She lies and tells him she doesn't have any feelings towards him, and she's dating someone. He's wondering who's she dating, as Lara jean spots Peter and kisses him. That day, Lara Jean and peter are now fake boyfriend and girlfriend. Yet, as their “relationship” last they start to fall for each other. They go on a ski trip for school and they confess that they like each other. They start to kiss in the hot tub and someone spreader a rumor saying they had sex in the hot tube. Peter denying that he told his friends, and Lara jean ignores him all winter break.

I highly recommend this book to young teen girls. It has so much love and drama, you get so tied into it. It also has a lot of relation to us now, because us young women don't know much about the world yet. I see so many things like this happen in reality, and it honestly just shows how much detail is in this book. I've already read the sequel and I'm waiting for the third book. This series has to be my favorite of all.
