Lockdown: Escape from Furnace 1

This book is about a strong man who had careless ideas that nothing would ever happen to him and his friends. The book is called Lockdown, and was written by a great author named Alexander Gordan Smith. Alexander has written many books of the same type of theme. This book is action packed and never gets boring.  I believe this is one of the best books I have read and I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

The book took me to a place that once I picked it up, I didn’t want to put it down. It was a Saturday night; about midnight in fact, Alex and his buddies were planning to steal money, or whatever was in the house. He had been doing it for years, but this house was the biggest, it was the house that was owned by people who drove fancy cars. They knew it would be marvelous to see what they got at the end of the job. Although Alex never said anything he knew that there was something wrong. The owners were gone, but something else was up.

His buddies entered the house with no regrets, except for Alex. As the end of the procedure they saw a shadow in another room. Alex checked it out, a big man in a black suit stood there, fierce as could be. A yell downstairs proved to Alex that there were more people in the house and they were not the owners. The man brought Alex down to the level where his best friend laid. In one suspicious minute everything went wrong. The man shot Alex’s friend and then put the gun in Alex’s hand. Alex was convicted as a murderer, but it is more like an innocent murder.

Alex went to a prison called lockdown. He found 2 other people who were also blamed for a crime that they did not do, and had been committed by the same man that had set Alex up. Lockdown was an underground, prison that no one could escape from. That’s exactly what Alex and his new friends wanted to do.

I thought this book was great, it had very sad, and happy parts through out the story. I will suggest this book to multiple people, because you cannot get a great review from one person. Read the book when you have time, if I had to rate it I would give it a 9 out of 10.

  1. Eddie, I agree with your review because it follows what happened with accurate details. I can recall all of the events happening in the review. you even put the events in the order that follow the book. from this review, I can tell people who want to read books like these would take interest in this book. the descriptions of the events are a little bit messy though that's the only real issue. also, who are the other two people he met and what were they like? -John P.

  2. this book was good because it captured the thoughts of all the important characters in the book. the events in the book are in depth, detailed, and brief when it needs to be. with some boring parts dragged out, or some important parts with holes, the book is still good because the problems listed are very rare. when I read the book it captured my interests very well. I have read the sequels and they are very good.
