For my book review I chose Call of The Wild, written by Jack
London. This book is about a dog that faces many difficulties in the wild. This
is a book for anyone that loves dogs or reading heartwarming sorties about
dogs. I think the message that the authors trying to tell you are that what
doesn’t kill you makes you stronger because, they dog goes though a lot but he
still gets though it.
Buck was an average dog taken away from his home and forced
to be a sled dog in the wild. When in the wild, he is to face the harsh climate
and adjusts to the new wild life. Buck faces fights with the pack, whippings
from the master, struggles with finding food, and even falls through freezing
cold waters. He has to live and fight for himself. Buck faces many near-death
situations. Buck has to fight for his survival even if it means he has to be
greedy with the pack. Buck has to go through a lot before he is finally apart
of the pack. But after being apart of the pack, nothing is the same. The life
he once had is gone. His only way for survival is if he gives it his all.
The suspenseful book filled with nail biting moments will
keep you reading! After every chapter I would want to keep reading. It’s a nail
bitter because the author adds some events that you would never have guessed
coming. You never knew what Buck was going to face. I definitely recommend this
book to any dog lover. You will never look at your the dog the same. You can
see what an average dog can do and that all a dog really wants is food, care,
and love.
