No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission that Killed Osama Bin Laden

This book was very interesting; co-author Mark Owen takes you inside his head to a place you could never imagine.  After further research I found that Mark Owen is a pseudonym his real name is Matt Bissonnettea, he co wrote the book with Kevin Maurer. Matt Bissonnettea got in trouble for publishing the book.  To me, the most important part of this book is that Mr. Owen will try to kill Osama bin Laden. The reason this book was to allow to be published it demonstrated to the public the point of view from the killer of the highly wanted Osama bin Laden, not the point of view from the news reporters. He tells you how intensive the trainings are, and how explosive or powerful the guns can be. If you like action packed, and adventure for a theme, this book is for you, you are sure to enjoy.

“As we got to the village, the teams started to peel off to their predetermined targets.  I led my team to our target building.  Creeping up to the gate, I tried the handle.  The heavy black iron door creaked open.  Pushing it just wide enough to see in”… (Owen73). That was a suspenseful part of the book; Mark explains how he entered one of his first missions being point man. As the story goes on the reader learns how the powerful guns were helpful during the tough mission, the push from the recoil carves into his shoulder, like a hammer that has been beaten on his arm.  Mark and his seals were extremely physically fit, they had been put through a variety of POD trainings; these trainings were not limited to push up’s, pull up’s, swimming, running long distances, jumping from air planes, climbing, and shooting in all weather conditions.  Traveling from the top of the Himalayas through the rocky roads of Iraq, they are working to reach their final mission of killing Osama. This intense book does not stop until the final page of 301, Their final mission, and Mark again at point man, leading his team of seals to find Osama bin Laden.  If you want to find out how he did, read it!!!!

The book was great; it is action packed, and very hard to put down. I loved the book from the first page.  I hope you have time to read it because it is worth every minute of your time.  I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10, it is that good.
