I am Number Four: The Last Files

The title of the book is “ I am number Four The Last Files “ by Pittacus Lore .  His books are very tense , and sometimes it can make the reader cringe . He has a series of books about teenagers having super powers , to stop an Alien group named Mogadorians . They each have a leader , and each leader is a master of some sort of fighting ability . One of the themes I think the author is trying to make the reader take away from the story is hope . In the story , John and his friends of the same race fight off the aliens at the school , and they’ve out numbered , but John doesn’t give up , even if the other have . John holds on the smallest hope , and fights back , with John’s little bit of hope , him and h8is friends are able to live to see another day .

In the book , a survivors are that teens . The aliens had wiped out their entire race , and destroyed their planet . Only 9 of them are survivors , and they had come to earth , and the aliens want the last of them dead . So the aliens are on a hunt for the last teens that had escaped . At part of the story , one of the Mogadorians attacked one of the teens at a diner . In the story , one important character in the story is John . He is number 4 of the teens , He plays a huge roll in the group . He is like Leonardo in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . He is like an Alpha in a wolf pack , He is the leader , and everyone follows his orders .

This book is very good and I really like it . It has a lot of action , and isn’t boring . They are always coming in counter with Mogadorians , and they are always fighting each other for practice with their new legacies . I think this book is towards Teenage Boys/Girls , for elderly Men/Women I don’t think it’ll be as interesting to them . As for the book is towards to Boys/Girls . You should really read this book ! And its series . It’s really really good ! The book “ I am Number Four “ Is the first book of the whole series , and I suggest you readers to really read this book !! I hope you enjoy it , I know I did .

I am Number Four

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore is the first in the Lorien Legacies series, and it also marks the first fiction series James Frey has written under the collective pseudonym Pittacus Lore. Frey previously wrote several books, including his memoir A Million Little Pieces, originally presented as a memoir of his experiences during his treatment for alcohol and drug addiction at a rehabilitation center in Minnesota. The first book follows the story of John Smith, also known as Four. “Four” comes from the planet Lorien, which was taken over by a vicious race of aliens, called the Mogadorians. Nine children, members of the Garde, a race of supernaturally gifted Loriens, escaped to Earth. The nine were given a charm of protection and a number. The Mogadorians that hunt them can only kill them in numerical order. As each Lorien child is murdered, those that remain receive a scar around their ankle so they know how many are left. Each child arrives to earth with an adult mentor from the Garde to guide them, and to help them develop their legacies.

The story introduces Four and his Garde, Henri. During their time on earth, they’ve stayed in 22 different towns, under various identities. Running is crucial to Four’s survival. The Mogadorians followed the 9 children to earth, and they hunt them relentlessly. However, before the children left to escape for earth, they were given a charm of protection and a number, forcing the Mogadorians to hunt them down in numerical order. Three of the children have died, and Four has no protection if he is caught. After barely escaping discovery by the Mogadorians, Four and Henri drive to a small town in the middle of nowhere; Paradise, Ohio. In Paradise, Four takes on the name “John Smith”, and enrolls in the local high school. There, he meets a girl named Sarah, whom he falls in love with, and Sam, a misfit boy who claims his dad has been kidnapped by aliens. Four’s legacies start to develop, and he trains with Henri to become stronger so he can fight the Mogadorians. Henri’s fear of being discovered by the Mogadorian’s and his care for Four pushes them to be constantly on the run, but this is countered by Four’s love for Sarah, which eventually helps convince Henri to stay longer than he is usually comfortable with. The conflict with Four and Henri is huge; Henri wants to keep Four safe, and Four wants to be with Sarah. Four’s desires put both of them in danger.

I would NOT recommend this book to others. It didn’t strike me as a very moving piece of literature; nor original. I am Number Four uses the old “aliens that look like humans” cliche, “hero falls in love with beautiful girl instantly” cliche, and the “rebellious teenager” cliche to the point where I almost didn’t want to read the book anymore. Dull, predictable, with nearly emotionless characters, I am Number Four was a complete waste of my time.

The Fall of Five

The title of this book is called The Fall Of Five and it is the fourth book in the I AmNumber Four Series by Pittacus Lore. He has written all four of these books and it compares to the other three books because it follows the series meaning that at the end of each book it usually leaves you hanging each one leading into the next one. The theme of this book is fiction and so far in my opinion the best book in the series so far.

Sarah has been found but the hunt for Sam is still on without a single clue where he could be. Three of the garde members are dead and the other 7 are still alive but only six of them are only together and the hunt for number five is on hoping to get to number five before the mogodorians do. None of them know when another scar will form into their ankle and hopefully no more do. Only three of them left to go on the hunt for number five while the others stay and protect the apartment where the garde members are staying. As they close in on number five they become a little hesitant deciding whether it is worth the risk to find number five knowing that they could be walking right into the trap. If it is a trap the others could have scars burning into their ankles in a matter of hours. If not then they have successfully found number five, if that is the case. With or without a trap it could be worth finding another garde member because the more power against the mogs they will have. So they decide to take their chances. As soon as they reach their destination they see a boy sitting there, nobody else around, not the usual thing for this town. If it is a trap they have to fight for their lives. Will they make it out alive?

I definantly recommend this book for others to read because for people who love action books then this is the book for you. If you don’t like action books then this book you will get hooked on. I believe that you should read this book as soon as possible but it is always better to read first few books in the series just so you know what the series is mainly about.

The Rise of Nine

The title of this book is the Rise Of Nine and it is the third book in the I Am Number Four series by Pittacus Lore. Pittacus Lore has written the other two books in the series and those two are called I Am Number Four and The Power Of Six. This book compares to the other two because at the end of each book it leads into the next one. It also follows the series.

Three of the Garde members are dead and only seven are still alive after they escaped Lorien. The mogodorians are after them to kill them. John Smith (Number 4) is next on the mogs list because they kill them in order. Sam is Johns friend and is not from Lorien and Sarah, Johns girlfriend is also not from Lorien. The three of them are out to find more members of the Garde to survive against the Mogs. They have found nine and now the four of them continue searching for more of the Garde. They are suddenly attacked by the Mogs and the Mogs take Sam and Sarah. Now John and nine are not only on the hunt for other Garde members but now they are also on the hunt for Sam and Sarah before the Mogs kill them. Can John Smith and number nine find Sam and Sarah before the Mogs kill them? Read the book and find out. 

I really recommend this book for other people to read. Not only has this book been one of the best I have read but also the best series of books that I have read. I don't believe that you should read another book than this because once you start reading the first book in the series you will not be able to stop reading.
