InuYasha

Recently, throughout this trimester I've read this graphic novel book called InuYasha, by Rumiko Takahashi. For almost all the book she has written in her life, they're all Manga books. One of it is Ranma 1/2, the book is about a boy named Ranma Saotome that suffered an accident during a train journey. As a result, he's cursed to become a girl when splashed with cold water, while hot water changes him back to a boy. This book and InuYasha are both Manga books, even they have different main point or theme. They're also very interesting and attracts readers. InuYasha is about a half demon- half human guy and a girl named Kagome trying to collect pieces of Shikon Jewel to combine all of them together to one whole jewel, the theme is that these two main characters are going around the "fake world" to collect the shards before it falls into the enemy's' hand.

In Inuyasha's world, there's a powerful jewel called the Shikon Jewel, guarded by a priestess named Kikyo. She was later killed by Naraku in InuYasha's form while InuYasha was in deep sleep. The Shikon Jewel has massive powers to give any demon or half-demon like InuYasha the power and strength to defeat all other demons and rule the world. One time, the half-demon InuYasha attempted to steal the jewel, but failed and got shot by Kikyo and was pinned to a sacred tree with a sacred sealing arrow which also made him fall to sleep for 50 years. Meanwhile, in the real world in Japan, a Japanese girl named Kagome discovered a mystery well inside an abandoned house at the back of her house. As she falls down the well, it takes her to InuYasha's world. At one moment when the Shikon Jewel was taken by a demon who turned into an owl. Kagome wanted to help and shot the owl with an arrow, but she accidentally shot the jewel and pierced it into many pieces. After that, reluctantly agreed to work as a team to recover all the pieces of the shattered Shikon Jewel before it falls into the wrong hand. On their way to collect the fragments of the jewel, they also found and made friends with new people such as Shipo, a nine-tailed fox, Miroku, and monk with the Wind Tunnel in his hand which when opened can suck everything inside, the tunnel was a curse from Miroku's grandfather when he fought Naraku, and also Sango, a sister of Kohaku, who was her younger brother and was killed by Naraku, an evil, powerful demon. Along their path to achieve the goal to recover the jewel, all the demons have came and tried to take the Shikon Jewel but most of them failed.

Since volume 9, Naraku, an evil powerful demon, and the one who killed Kohaku, Sango's brother appeared. He also wanted to steal the pieces of the shattered Shikon Jewel that InuYasha and Kagome had collected. Naraku has an incredible power and he's very strong, so many volumes of the story are all about InuYasha and Kagome with their friends fighting against Naraku himself. The last volume I read, volume 13, was about InuYasha, Kagome and their friends, went into a cave and fought against a giant monster. And suddenly, Kikyo appeared, shot the monster and the monster vanished.

So far, I really like this book. I recommend you to read this book of you like manga books or fighting scenes. I can tell you this, THIS BOOK IS THE BEST MANGA BOOK EVER !! You should definitely read this book if you're a manga fan like me.

Inuyasha

The book I read was the manga series Inuyasha written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. Their is 56 volumes of Inuyasha or you could say 558 chapters. I read up to volume 14 and I have also watched the anime series of Inuyasha which I enjoyed. The story Inuyasha starts with Kagome Higurashi a 15 year old freshmen who lives at a a history filled Japanese shrine. She is also the reincarnation of Kikyo who guarded the sacred Shikon no Tama or Jewel Of The Four Souls, and who sealed away the half demon Inuyasha who tried to steal the jewel in order to become a full fledged demon. Kikyo 50 years ago died and had the jewels burned with her body. Kagome one day went to go look around her shrine and found a well, she was pulled into it and did not know what was going on. Kagome discovered she had went back in time into the Japan ancient times something Kagome also discovers is she has the jewels inside her body. Later when she explores the ancient times of Japan she accidentally frees Inuyasha. Kagome figured what was going on after Inuyasha explained to her. Inuyasha's main goal is to get all the jewels to become a full fledged demon. I think the theme of the book is to always have patience because you can't have certain things right away. Inuyasha and Kagome makes a group and the members in the group all have a deep background and they all want to get what they need back so they can be free.

In order for Inuyasha to become a full demon he must fight Naraku and his brother Sesshoumaru also he must collect all the jewels but that takes a lot of time Inuyasha and his group meet plenty of people that have been attacked by Naraku he a full demon that has almost every single jewel. Not only does Inuyasha and his group have to fight Naraku and his brother but he also has to fight other demons that try to attack him for the jewels. Inuyasha has a great group, Kagome can see the jewels through any object and has good archery skills while Inuyasha is a half demon that wields a sword called the Tetsusaiga that can kill over 100 demons at once.

I recommend this book to anyone that loves supernatural kind of books or action type of books. It has such an original story to it and great characters that will probably surprise you and do things that were unexpected. The author really adds so much detail into the story too and it makes you wanna keep on reading it.

Inuyasha

Inuyasha is a manga that I'm reading and it was made by Rumiko Takahashi. Rumiko Takahashi won two awards from her manga like Inuyasha, and Urusei Yatsura. I don't know much about her work I've only read Inuyasha. Inuyasha is about a highschool girl named Kagome she wasn't the kind of person that believes in myths and legend, until one day a creature pulled her into an old well and out of her own world and into ancient Japan. There she discovered that the legends about demons are true. The theme of this manga is action, romance, and some comedy.

Kagome was pulled into ancient Japan by a creature which started to attack her. Kagome was then saved by a legendary creature called Inuyasha who is a half demon after saving her the Shikon jewel that was in a village nearby shattered into pieces of shards. The Shikon Jewel is so powerful that even a piece of shard can make a weak demon into a really strong one. It was up to Kagome and Inuyasha to gather all of the shards to restore the Shikon jewel before the demons take it and become more powerful.

Inuyasha has a very interesting story with the demons, and ancient Japan. I can see why Rumiko won an award for Inuyasha. I like Inuyasha because of the action that's going on, the comedy when Inuyasha gets jealous, and the love that Inuyasha and Kagome denys. I would recommend this to people who like romantic comedy or people who like ancient Japan, and it's legends. If you want action, comedy, romance all in one then Inuyasha is what you should be reading.
