The book I chose to read is “Crazy” by Han Nolan. I haven’t read any books
by this author and honestly I don’t plan on reading more
because I didn’t like this book. I
prefer more adventurous books instead of depressing ones. The book is about a boy, Jason, and his
father who is mentally unstable. Jason
goes through a long journey and the end he finds that he just needs friends and
can’t do everything on his own.
In this book, Jason undergoes a lot if challenges, including
dealing with an insane father, who he has to take of. Jason’s father goes missing suddenly and if
Jason doesn’t find him he will have to go live in a foster home. Over time, Jason becomes more and more
acquainted with some other kids at school who are also attend a group for
problem kids. Jason finally finds his
father and the two of them have to go to court.
The judge finds that Jason’s father is in no condition to take of
himself let alone a child. Jason goes
back to a foster home while his father is put into a residence home. Jason cares dearly about his father so he
continues goes to visit and check in with his father a couple of times a week.
In the end, I didn’t enjoy the book. What I look for in a book is adventure and
good rather than dull and boring storylines.
The book “Crazy” was depressing and dull. I lost interest about half way through the
book and simply didn’t care for it anymore.
If I were asked to recommend a book for someone to read, I would not
recommend this book, because the storyline was very depressing and long
