The Ranger's Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan

The Rangers Apprentice: The ruins of Gorlan, by John Flanagan, is an adventure filled book, taking place in medieval times, sure to hook you in and have you reading non-stop.

Will is anxious but nervous for choosing day. He has been waiting for this day for years, hoping to be chosen as a knight apprentice. He and his friends are chosen for separate schools.  unfortunately for will, he is not chosen for apprentice school. instead a mysterious figure known as halt the ranger gives the baron a note regarding will. The baron leaves the note on his desk. Will curiously went after the note, evading guards and climbing the castle with ease. what he finds in the note changes his destiny and embarks him on an adventure training, chasing monsters, and trying to discover what the evil Morgarath has in mind for them, saving lives i the process. The story varies between will and his rival Horace’s points of view, showing you their struggles and how they're lives are connected. Them, along with other characters form a setting and story sure to have you wanting more.

I really enjoyed this book due to its setting and storyline. I have always been interested in action and adventure books. The story’s theme is intriguing and had me sitting at the edge of my seat wonder what happens next. The book switches from point of view to another, cleverly forming cliffhangers and leaving me making inferences about what will happen next. The book is full of description, making you feel as if though you were right in the story. The Rangers Apprentice is definitely a book worth reading.
