Across the Universe (Series)

Let's go on an adventure through space and explore a new planet. Beth Revis is known to have written a book trilogy, with book 1 titled Across the universe, book 2 titled Million Suns, and lastly book 3 titled Shades of Earth. I believe The theme of this series is how lies are always easy, when the truth is too hard to handle.

This trilogy is mainly about a teenaged girl named Amy, and a teenaged boy named Elder (along with many others) on a ship called Godspeed sent on a mission from Earth to explore and exploit a new uninhabited planet (survivable) named Centauri-Earth. Amy is a passenger cryogenically frozen leaving her old life on Earth behind in order to Join her parents (Robert and Maria) on the mission to the new world. Amy is scheduled to land in 300 hundred years, but fifty years later she is violently woken up from her death like sleep. Now Amy is living in life inside the a ship where nothing makes sense, Amy is now living alongside 2,312 passengers who never have never seen a life outside the ship's cold metal walls. The main characters of this story are, Amy, Elder, Maria, Robert, Orion, and finally Eldest. Eldest is the tyrannical and frightening ruler aboard Godspeed. The main conflict in all three books are lies and secrets.

I have really enjoyed reading this series because I felt like pulled me into story, I also felt that it was well written and very interesting. I highly recommend these books to anyone who seek adventure. This story is a trip worth taking. Join Amy and Elder on a journey Across the Universe.

Across the Universe

Across the Universe is a book written by Beth Revis. This is the first book I read by her.

Amy and her family live on earth, Amy’s mom and dad decide to freeze themselves to go into the future to help out on the new planet because they have the skills needed. Amy is just loose cargo who decides to go along and has no purpose on the new planet. Any feels like she’s been frozen for millions on centuries. Until she is unfrozen by someone and awaken by the sight of a young boy and a doctor.

Elder looks at this young girl and thinks she’s the most beautiful girl on the ship he lives on. This book is about an adventure of a girl who awakens too early when she goes in time, a boy who is being trained to be the next leader and a crazy boy who’s best friends with the boy who is about to be the leader. These three people go in search to find out who is unplugging the people who froze themselves to help out the future of the new planet.  These three run into a lot of problems on the way to finding this bad guy but enjoy each other’s company while investigating the ship.

This book has a lot of twists and turns and a lot of adventure. It’s a good book to read and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci fi space books.
