Ender's Game

The book I read is called Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card. I have not finished this book, but I know that it is a series with many other books. This book’s genre is science fiction and war. This book teaches you that with perseverance, you’ll be able to overcome everything.

Being a “Third,” Ender Wiggin has been bullied many times. One day, a man named Graff came to Ender with an opportunity to attend battle school. This school is used to train people to be able to fend off buggers, and is in orbit. Ender’s intelligence has proven that he could overcome many challenges, and is the most worthy candidate. Everything depends on Ender now to stop the buggers.

This book is great. You really get to know what Ender is going through in his perspective. It really makes you feel as if you were Ender. If you like war and action books, then you should really read this book. You should really try reading this book at least to the point where he has his first battle school fight.

Ender's Shadow

Ender’s Shadow was written by Orson Scott Card, author of other books, such as Speaker for the dead and Enders game.  Ender’s Shadow is a parallel novel to Ender’s Game, with the same characters, same story line, same settings, and same timeline, except focused on another character in the story; Bean. The book focuses on Bean’s struggles and life, eventually melting into the same story as Ender’s Game.

Bean is a tiny genius child living in the streets of Rotterdam on earth. The streets are a place ruled by children and teenagers where food is scarce and survival is even harder to obtain. Bean falls into a family of children led by a girl passing as a boy named poke. after a serious turn of events, a nun discovers bean and his intellect and sends him up into battle school, away from earth, where she believes he belongs. Bean starts immediately assessing everybody else in battle school, being the smartest there. Bean is studied by the teachers, and some become convinced that him, and not his companion, Ender Wiggin, is the one to lead earths armies against a hostile alien race.

I really enjoyed this book because it is filled with action and conflict. The book is very well structured to keep the reader predicting on what could happen next. The book is incredibly detailed and written, so the reader can be sucked into the story as if though they were in the story. Filled with fantasy and scientific fiction, Ender’s Shadow is a great book for those who enjoy scientific fiction, action, space, and fantasy books.

Ender's Game

Ender’s game is the first in the quintet of books written by Orson Scott Card. Ender’s Game is one of Card’s most popular books, and it specializes in what Card is best at; Sci-Fi literature. His beautiful narrative writing creates an engaging story with a thought-provoking message. Ender’s game tells us the story of Ender Wiggin’s dysfunctional childhood. Ender’s Game has several important themes, such as perseverance, cunning, and keeping your wits during an unfavorable situation.

The book takes place sometime in the near future, in a world scarred by fear of another alien attack. Ender, along with his 2 siblings, Peter and Valentine, were bred to be genius military strategists to help combat the next wave of “buggers”, the aliens that attacked previously. Peter and Valentine embody the two sides of Ender’s personality, the Loving side (Valentine), and the violent, deadly side (Peter). Ender is constantly abused in his early childhood by his tyrannical brother, Peter, and on the contrary, he is loved dearly by his sister, Valentine. Ender, unlike his siblings, is chosen to go to a select military training academy for genius children, which happens to be in space. Ender has to chose between the person he loves most in the world, his sister Valentine, or an opportunity to escape his vicious brother, Peter, who is jealous of Ender, and seemingly refuses to love him. Ender chooses an escape. At the military training academy, also known as The School, he is forced to endure numerous tests, and is manipulated endlessly by the adults who run The School. There are several internal conflicts in Ender’s Game, but one of the most important conflicts is Ender’s desire to be loved by his family, including Peter;

“You want to beat Peter?" she asked
"No," he answered
"Beat the buggers. Then come home and see who notices Peter Wiggin anymore. Look him in the eye when the entire world loves and reveres you. That'll be defeat in his eyes, Ender, that’s how you win"
"You don't understand" he said
"Yes i do"
"No you don't. I don't want to beat Peter"
"Then what do you want?"
"I want him to love me”
(Card 153)

Ender’s desire to prove himself to his brother in order to gain his love spurs Ender to go to Battle School, which is where most of the book takes place. Because this is the conflict that pushes the entire story forward, it is the most important.

I would highly recommend Ender’s Game to anyone who is a fan of Orson Scott Card’s writings, or who is a fan of sci-fi and extremely narrative literature. The majority of the book takes place inside Ender’s mind, where he is reflecting on himself, his life, and his choices. It’s a beautiful tale of childhood, perseverance, strength, and struggle. Ender’s Game has easily won its rightful place among the greatest Sci-Fi literature pieces, and it is surely a must-read.

Ender's Game

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card.

The author has written very many books and Enders Game is his best seller. The book is currently being made into a movie. The story is about a kid genius named Ender who has to save the world from alien buggers. The theme of the novel is as people grow and develop the world will be seen in many different ways, such as what it means to be a human. The question of what it means to be human showed up several times in Ender's Game. In the first place, children are said to be just as real of human beings as grown ups, even as the children are taken away from a normal childhood. It is, after all, a group of children who save the world. But more important than this, to be human is to have empathy.

Ender Wiggin, the third in a family of child geniuses, is picked by the military forces to save the world. Before being chosen Ender wears a unique monitor that allows the heads of the military to see things as Ender does. The military picks him and in order to help save the world from the buggers, Ender has to leave his family and go to an international military school. At that school Ender learns many things and becomes the leader in his army. Ender also becomes a tutor-like person who helps other kids improve their battle skills. When Ender has to switch armies he spirals into depression and goes into the game room. But are the games that he's playing really games?

I would recommend this book to people because it's really good, with a plot twist that completely changes what you already would have read in the story. Not only if the novel good because of that but the details are so vivid that it makes you feel like you're really inside of the story.READ THIS BOOK NOW. But don't go see the movie before your read it because we all know that movies are always worse than the books.
