Looking for Alaska

The book I was reading is called looking for alaska. The author of the book is John Green some of the other books he has written are the Fault in our stars , paper towns. This book just like the fault in ours stars with one big heart throb. It also isn’t going to leave you crying for 3 weeks either. What the story is about this guy who is nobody a until he goes to this boarding school called Culver Creek were he this girl’s named Alaska. Where his world will never be the same again. Read to find out more. The theme of the story is nothing is forever.

Before: this kid named Pudge a.k.a Miles goes to boarding because he doesn’t have any friends. He meets three people there Alaska, The colonel a.k.a Chip, and Takumi. They are looking for the "Great Perhaps". Until something happens and the world changes. well there still be a "Great Perhaps"? Read to find out more.

I would recommend this book to people because it keeps you at the edge of your seat with all the twists. Also it's kinda about the ;life of John Green himself. Also if you like the Fault in our Stars you will like this because they are fairly similar. Realistic fiction people will love this book. If you didn't like the Fault in our Stars then you won't like this book. You should read it because it can teach you things about life. This is why you should read this book.

Looking for Alaska

The book Looking for Alaska written by John Green chronicles the friendships and adventures of one crazy group of high school students. He is the author of many New York Times best sellers, which include his 2012 The Fault in Our Stars and 2008’s Paper Towns.  Both are destined for the silver screen, with The Fault in Our Stars released in 2014 and Paper Towns set to hit theaters in mid-July, 2015. While each of his books holds unique qualities, they all attempt to connect with today’s readers by focusing on the lives of young adults.

Looking for Alaska is about a high school boy, Miles Halter, who leaves his home in Florida to attend Culver Creek Boarding school in search for his “Great perhaps”. When he arrived he meets his new roommate Chip. Chip and his friends show him the ropes of Culver Creek. There is one girl in the group that really captures Miles attention, Alaska Young. Alaska is a wild, unstable, spontaneous, out of the ordinary, and confidante girl. Miles has a fascination with people’s final words. When talking with Alaska she tells him the last words of a famous military leader, Simon Bolivar, “Damn it. How will I ever get out of this Labyrinth!” The two make a deal that if Miles discovers what the Labyrinth she will find him his first girlfriend. his first night at culver creek miles nicknamed “pudge” is taken out to the lake where he is tied up and thrown in by a group of rich students, the Weekday Warriors. The two groups are enemies due to an incident the previous school year. Miles is new friend group is crazy, wild, fun, and mischievous until something happens that they can never undo.

I really enjoyed this book and I would definitely recommend it to others. There are some parts that are slower at times but overall the book is both intriguing and mysterious. I would recommend this book to anyone who looks books that sound very realistic and related to them. This book is a very easy read and it has you hooked from the beginning the book is also going to be produced as a movie in the following year or two.
