The book I'm reviewing is called Shadow of the Hegemon
written by Orson Scott Card. Unlike the previous books the setting takes place
on Earth. The Theme explains why you can depend upon others for your own
support.Shadow of the Hegemon is the third book in the series following EndersShadow. Both books border a young boy named Bean.Card is focusing not only on
Bean, but switching from different character throughout the story.
Bean, who was once fighting an intergalactic battle with the
Formics in the previous book Enders Shadow, is now home on Earth with his new
found family. When an old enemy Achillies attempts to assassinate Bean,
and kidnaps his comrades from the alien war. As World War three is starting to
break out. Bean has to not only save his battle mates, but save the world from
the destructive path Achillies has created.
Shadow of the Hegemon is an intriguing story that follows
the path like all its others Card has written. This series baffles me with its
multi-plotted story that follows not only Bean but Ender Wiggin from a
different book. I recommend this book for the exciting plot that follows
Beans cleansing passage. Card uses creative gesture in all of his books that
makes this book a very interesting adventure. If you fancy strategic war books
do not pass by this book. Shadow of the Hegemon is truly to be recognized as a
thrill.
