Flipped

The book I read for this book review is Flipped written by Wendelin Van Draanen. The main theme of the story is romance. This is a story told by two points of views, Bryce Loski, who moved in across from Juli Baker. The story begins with Bryce and Juli as children, and progresses to them getting older. It flips between the two characters, and is told from their points of views.

Bryce meets Juli at a young age. When Juli saw Bryce for the first time, she was boy crazy over him. When Bryce saw Juli at first glance, he wanted to run away from her. Throughout the story the children get older, and move from elementary to middle school. Juli starts to move on from the past and onto getting over Bryce. Though Bryce starts to realize the great things about Juli, from his Grandpa who made him look at the values of Juli. The book lives up to its title “Flipped”, because the characters literally switch thoughts about each other.

I would recommend this book to anyone who would love a quick read, and loves funny books. This story will make you laugh out loud! I would rate this book a five out of five, because it was a fun story to read. I learned many life lessons and values from this book. It was a great read, and I loved how it was told from two perspectives, it was interesting to hear one character tell their story from their eyes, and the other have a completely different story told from there view. In my opinion it was not a very challenging book, but it was fun to read.
