The book is called “skeleton man” and the author is Joseph bruchac. The author has wrote many other books such as novels, poetry, and short stories. His other books are different from this one because they aren't as interesting and scary.
The book is about a girl name molly. Her parents went on a date or something and never returned back home. Molly knew something was wrong but she was thinking they would come back. A couple weeks later some reporters said molly had an uncle. Molly went to visit him and he look nothing like a human. The uncle was a Skeleton and wanted to eat her. Molly went and lives with her so what called uncle. A day later she went to sleep and had a dream, her dream was about her killing a rabbit but the rabbit told not to and the rabbit will show where Molly parents are at. Molly knew the skeleton man had her parents. Molly started to dream about the rabbit every time she sleeps. The day Molly decided to fight back and save her parents, she did every move in her dream to beat the skeleton. At the end Molly killed the skeleton man and saved her parents.
I liked this book because the girl was around my age and she was brave to do all the things she did, such as staying home alone for a couple nights, talking random people showing up at her house, and fighting a skeleton. Molly was brave and wasn't acting dumb, like sitting on the ground when she fell, she stood up and kept running. The target audience is people who likes short scary chapter books because people who don't like reading much might like short ones like this one. I highly recommend other people to read it to because it's a fun and interesting book. It will give you some scary chills down your spine and excite you.
