Tears of a Tiger

The book I have read is called Tears of Tiger. It was written by an author named Sharon M. Draper. Draper has written 27 books in all during the years of 1994-2013. I have read 3 other books written by her and they are Battle of Jericho, November’s Blues, and Forged by Fire. These books compare to the book I have read because they are the afterlife of the tragic that started in Tears of Tiger. I think the message she was trying to get across in Tears Of Tiger was that Drinking and driving is a serious danger and the grief behind it can be life threaten as well. Overall the other three books are informing readers that everyone goes through problems, but its life and you just have to learn to adapt.

In Tears of Tiger Four junior boys that attended Hazelwood high school got into an accident while drinking and driving on an expressway. The Death of one boy in the car struck the whole student body. The main Character Andy Jackson Struggled through life blaming himself. Or what little life he did have. He couldn’t take the guilt anymore and committed suicide.  Students were absolutely traumatized because they couldn’t believe kids their age could die.  After the death of two of their peers eyes were truly opened to the real world, and life around them.

I recommend this book to readers who have a drinking problem, knows someone who has a drinking problem, or thinks drinking is cool. There are many things that can happen that not everybody thinks about. This book could save lives and/or prevent deaths. If none of these things apply to you then this is also an amazing way to be able to look into others’ lives, and see you’re not the only one going through a tough time. It provides great tip on how to deal with life situations. You should read it immediately!!!
