What my Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones
This story is a autobiography about a girl named Sophie. she is fifteen years old. She's just trying to figure out the difference between love and lust. This is about how she falls in love three times with 3 guys. She has a gut feeling to go with 2 boys, and a feeling in her heart to go with the other one. she finds all of this out at the end though.
In the beginning of the novel, Sophie finds herself getting dumped by her current boyfriend Lou. After the break-up she immedaitley finds herself in a relationship with a guy named Dylan. Dylan is considered very attractive and popular by Sophie's friends. As they date, Sophie finds that she doesn't really love Dylan and ends the relationship in favor of not really liking his personality.
Her second crush comes along. She then forms a secret romance. She finds an internet chat-room boy named Chaz. After a little bit, her and Chaz want to meet up at the library to finally meet in person. Before she meets Chaz in person, Sophie discovers he is a pervert and ends the relationship quickly. She was thankful she dodged that bullet on that one.
Now on her own, in real life, she encounters an outcast classmate, Robin Murphy. They meet at the local art museum. She is astonished to realize that while he is not physically attractive or liked by her friends, she falls in love with him. The book ends with Sophie choosing to sit with Robin in the cafeteria instead of her friends, knowing that revealing her secret relationship to her friends and classmates would be okay.
There was a companion book What My Girlfriend Doesn't Know, written from the perspective of Sophie's boyfriend Robin (Murphy), was published in 2007. Which is a very good book too. They are also by the same author. She came out with other books too.
I personally love the plot of this story. Teenage girls can read this and relate to it. Books that people can relate to are what a lot of people tend to like. So i guess i wouldn't be the only one who thinks so. There's nothing that I didn't like about that book. I was so addicted to that book, i read all 272 pages in one day. The way she deals with things as most teenage girls would. It's also not WAY out there like a lot of other books. She's not rich nor poor.

The book is appropriate too so parents will approve. Even
though it's appropriate it's still funny. Well, Sonya Sones DID mix a little
teenage humor and she also cussed a little. It's perfect for girls because it
has humor, boys, and parents in it.... plus a yellow lab. People can relate to
this because these are real life situations. I loved it and i give it five
stars!
