If I Stay

The book “If I stay” is written by  the author Gayle Forman. Gayle is an American young adult fiction author, known for her novel “If I stay” which topped the New York Times best sellers. Gayle has written many of books, Forman released “Just One Day” , Forman released “I Was Here” , and many more interesting novels.

A young American teen, 17 year old Mia Hall. Who has been involved in a mind blowing fatial car accident going to her grandparents farm, on an early school morning with her little brother Teddy, mom Kat, and her rockstar father Denny. One day at school Mia’s best friend Kim introduced Mia to Adam, it was unexpected. Shortly days after Adam, and Mia meant the world to each other couldn't go days without one another, and yet they slowly fell in love. And in the story “If I Stay” the book briefly has many flashbacks to the present and past.

Personally in my opinion I adore the book, it's very eye opening and jaw dropping and so many surprises here and there. And for the people who like mystery books I recommend reading Gayle Forman’s books. Her novels are neatly written and puts you in a mindset to read more and know most more

If I Stay

How would it feel if something tragic happened to you and your family, and from there your life was completely different?  ‘If IStay “ is an outstanding book, it will give you a glimpse of what it feels to lose your family. This book was written by Gayle Forman, she has written many other books like “ Where She Went “ and “ One More Year “. The theme of “ If I Stay” is love will last through anything, no matter what the circumstances are. Even though there were chances that Mia would not make it, yet her boyfriend waited and hoped that she would wake up.

“ If I stay ” is about a girl named Mia that is very talented in playing the cellist, she has everything she could ever want, a loving family, an amazing boyfriend and her best friend. She wants to get into Juilliard, but she has to decide whether to pursue her musical dreams at Juilliard or follow her heart to be with the love of her life. But then suddenly everything changes her family gets into a car crash and they are rushed to the hospital but Mia has to make a really big decision because she is caught between death and life.

I really liked this book, because it really grabbed my attention because Mia is caught between death and life, she has to choose between staying with the love of her life or slip away and die.  If you want to find out more on what happens to Mia I recommend you reading this book especially if you're into romantic and dramatic books. I really think you should take some time and read this remarkable book not only because it’s interesting but this is a very powerful story of love and loss and trying to make the right decision when your life is literally in your hands.

If I Stay

This is Kennedy and I just finished the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman!  If I Stay has a sequel, which is called Where She Went;  I can’t wait to read it!  Some other books Gayle Forman wrote are: I Was Here, Just One Day, Just One Year, Just One Night, Sisters In Sanity, and You Can't Get There From Here.  I haven’t read any of Gayle Forman’s other books so I am not sure what they are all about, but I am sure these books are really good because If I Stay was awesome!  If I Stay takes you on a journey through Mia’s past memories and through Mia’s thoughts on how she will decide her future of whether she lives or not.  The theme for If I Stay is to enjoy your life while you have it because anything can happen that can put it to an end!

               

If I Stay is about a girl named Mia who got hit by a car and went into a coma.  However, she can see everything going on around her because she is like a ghost out of her body watching everything around her.  Later, she finds out that she has to decide whether or not she wants to live and wake up or die.  “I realize now that dying is easy.  Living is hard” (Forman 175).  Mia has many things to consider in choosing whether or not to live.  Read this book to find out what she chooses.  Some of the characters in the book include Mia the main character, Kim her best friend, Adam Mia’s boyfriend, Teddy Mia’s brother, and her parents.

               

I thought If I Stay was a really good book.  I would rate it an 8 out of 10 because the book is very interesting; it makes you wonder what you would choose if you were Mia.  If you like love stories, young-adult fiction, or tragic books, you would like If I Stay.  I recommend reading If I Stay because it is an amazing book.
