The Truth of the Matter

The book I have read and reviewing is The Truth of the Matter which is the third book in the series written by Andrew Klavan. As the plot progress the book is about the courage and bravery to accomplish any goals to achieve what he desires. Klavan has a way of getting at you saying if you believe in it then it will always be true.

The story follows an eighteen-year old named Charlie West who's on the run from the police for his best friend's murder when a terrorist organization called the Homelanders had framed Charlie for the murder. Charlie is told to find a man named Waterman to help recover his lost memory. When Charlie does find Waterman, he is tranquilized and dragged to an old abandon psychiatric facility Which Waterman and his friends have made into a secret base. Charlie is then shot with a drug to retrieve his lost memories over a period of time. As Charlie slips into a coma the Homelanders find the base and invade it to get Charlie. Charlie then escapes the terrorist group and flees through the forest while being shot at and having flashbacks from the drug. Charlie is captured and escapes with a near fatal car chase. Charlie then finds a house which he passes out inside, and helped with a mother and child. The Homelanders find and nearly kill all of them when the police kill the terrorist. Charlie is then taken into custody where the story ends in a cliff hanger.

This story excites me every which way around in this story with gripping suspense and sensation. This story could mean a lot in what ways we could be affected by this story's concept. This story is very realistic in how they're are terrorist organizations that always plan against the U.S. That's what I like about this story of how you could be supporting the U.S. in large amounts possible. With a message of pursuing goals only meant when reaching them

With a lot of questions unanswered until the next book I love reading this series of books. I cant wait until I get a hold of the next book. This book really does hook me on to the next with its unique composition.

A quote really struck me of how he really wanted to do no harm "I cleaned up the kitchen. Wiped up the crumbs. Put the milk carton back in the refrigerator. Before i closed up the plastic package of meat, I took some money out of my pocket and put it inside. Probably wasn't a very smart thing to do It meant they were sure to notice someone had been here, and they might even guess it was me and call the police But I could see from the way the house looked that the people who lived here didn't have much money."(Klavan 256).
