The book The Hypnotists is by Gordon Korman who is an
excellent author & has written several series such as The 39 Clues, the
Kidnapped series, & the Swindle series.
The Hypnotists is the first in the series and takes place in
New York, Jax Opus who has the strange ability to change his eye color which in
turn will hypnotize most people, except his color blind friend Tommy. but
when this strange ability starts causing problems and almost getting people hurt,
a man named Dr. Elias Mako comes to him & offers to teach him at
Sentia were he meets others with his ability, at first it seems
perfect but as Jax soon realizes Dr. Makos group is not all that it
seems & discovers a conspiracy that may put his friends, family,
& the country in danger.
This book is packed with mystery, action,
& danger; I suggest this to all readers who like conspiracy, mysteries
& the idea of hypnotism.
