Reached

The book that I chose is called Reached by Ally Condie. This is the third book of the Matched trilogy. The story was well written and had no grammar or spelling mistakes that I could find. The theme is a twisty dystopian futuristic world. The story is told from the three main characters Cassia,Ky, and Xander.Cassia,Ky,and Xander have joined the rebellion ,called the rising,to over throw the government, the society. When a mutation of the plague breaks out, people start to go still. So Cassia,Ky,and Xander go to a small village to work on the cure. (Some quotes) "No ,I say.No .My parents look up from the screen, glassy eyed." (Ally Condie ,270) I loved this book very much and I have read it very many times. The main target audience was for young teens.I think most would like this book. I think you should drop what you are doing and go get this book .

Matched

I read the book Matched, by Ally Condie. For more information visit the following link: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7735333-matched. Matched is the first book to the trilogy written by Ally. She has written other books including: Atlanta, Crossed, and Reached. For further details into those books click here, http://allycondie.com/books. I have read all three of the books in the Matched trilogy. Her writing style flows simply and is easy to follow. She’s a great author! These books are similar. I believe the theme of Matched is choices; many hard decisions are displayed throughout the book. Another common theme is family. In this book the society is much different from what is considered to be “normal.”

It starts out at Cassia’s (main character) birthday party. She is turning 17. It’s the day she find out who she will be “matched” or spend the rest of her life with. In this society you don’t get to choose; your match is assigned to you. She found out who her match was… a life long friend. Then each person is given a micro-card. This card contains information about their match. Cassia shows her anxiety before being given the card. As she waited, focused, and stared at the big screen something went wrong. Bizarre images flashed across the screen. This was not supposed to happen. She was told it was a glitch, and not to worry a thing about it. Everything in this society is kept secret. Her grandfather had given her something important. As the book goes on many details are laid out and then Cassia is given an important choice regarding her match. She is stuck between two options. Read the book for discover those important options and what her final decision will be!

I would definitely recommend this book. I could not put it down! Every chapter leaves you wanting more! This book would best suite anyone interested in fiction stories since the society is very different then the “real world.” If fiction is not your type - don’t waste your time reading this! This book makes you think about how the world would be if it was “normal” for cultures/society to follow the actions shown throughout this book. If you’re looking for a good series to read over the summer this would be a great choice! All three books are quite long but go by extremely fast since they’re so interesting.

Reached

Reached by Ally Condie is the third book of the trilogy Matched. This series is about a girl that is surrounded by troubling obstacles and fate. The society blocks its people off from the outer provinces, keeping them away from secrets that are forbidden. The theme of this book is love and revolution.

Reached, like some other romance books is about a girl starting a journey with love and her life takes a turn to fate. Then, rising above the society starting a revolution to break the system and free the people. Cassia, who was matched with Xander, her childhood friend. But rebels against the system and falls in love with mysterious Ky from the outer provinces they all join the rising to save what they have been forbid of, the power to choose. “The Story of the Pilot” tells about the leader of the rising to rebel against the society.  The pilot, can be anyone of any age. It could even be one of the characters. Cassia, Xander, Ky. Cassia is faced to force the truth of what she wants. True love, or to rebel and break all of the rules to choose who she wants to love. “ but we do find answers in beauty, more often than not” (Condie 507).

I recommend this book to everyone. This intriguing trilogy leaves you wanting more with each chapter. It leaves you asking questions like, do I really know who I love? Will I fight for what I believe in? I strongly suggest this book to all readers. Take time to get to know the story of love, rebellion, and triumph of Cassia, Xander, and Ky.

Crossed

The book that I read is Crossed by Ally Condie. Ally Condie has written many books this book is a lot like this one. The book Crossed an compare to Ally Condie’s  because, she writes stories about one girl stuck between two great choices or romances.   An amazing heroin named Cassia trying to discover who her real match is. is it her childhood friend Xander or is it the strange boy who just appeared Ky? When Cassia decides to go to the outer society in search for her crush Ky (whom we are sure has been taken by the society for his death) she finds that he escaped into the majestic but dangrous canyons.  Can Cassia and Ky survive or will the have a horrible end to this twisting novel find out in Crossed by Ally Condie .

The young heroin  Cassia is faced with an obstacle of true love and freedom. What are the limits she is willing to go to in order to find true happiness and love. Cassia is stuck between Xander her childhood friend and Ky the mysterious one from out of the province.

I enjoyed this book because it kept me on the edge of my seat excited to know more i would  recommend  reading this book for those whom like romance and action.

Crossed

Crossed” by Ally Condie is the sequel to The New York Times Bestseller “Matched”. Condie’s “Matched” left readers craving more and “Crossed” is just what they needed. “Matched” left readers trapped in a triangle of love, lies, and adventure, only furthering their expectation of the sequel. Full of adventure and rebellion “Crossed” truly shows how true love will go to the ends of the Earth to find one another.

Condie’s “crossed” brings us to Ky and Cassia; the love stricken two who aren’t suppose to be together. With help from Cassia’s former “match” Xander, and her new friend Indie, Cassia is on the run to find Ky. In the outer provinces Cassia and Indie find Ky and his new friend Eli, but it’s not safe. ”The Society” is in the outer provinces. Cassia and Indie are eager to find the rebellion, while Ky doesn’t know who to trust.

A farmer leads Cassia, Ky, Indie, and Eli throughout the outer provinces. The group faces many obstacles. Dearth is with them every step of the way, and emotions run high when trust is broken in the group. These 5 persevere through the outer provinces, but not everybody is ready to leave for the rebellion.

“Crossed” is an excellent book filled with love, adventure, and tragedy. This sequel kept me reading late into the night, its nearly impossible to put down. Compared to “Matched” this sequel is equally as well written, but has much more adventure and danger. If you were impressed with “Matched” then “Crossed” will blow you away.
