World Religions: Zoroastrianism

The author of this book is Paula R. Hartz; the characters are Ahuramazda (God), Zarathustra, Jamaspa, Kai (King) Vishtaspa, Kavis (Prince) Isfanderyid, Shahanshah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, Ahriman (Satan), Alexander the Accursed, Vohu Manah, Spenta Mainyu, Spenta Armaity, Asha Vahista, Kashathra Vairya, Ameretat, Haurvatat, Anahita, and Mithra.

The story is at the beginning of time Ahuramazda created the universe, and then he created the Menog (Heavenly) World. Then in the time Kai Vishtaspa there was a holy child born in the house of Poruchaspa Spitama, and Dughdova Spitama and, he’s name was Zarathustra Spitama. He (Zarathustra) was drawn to religion when he was very young, when in his thirties he was drawing water from the most pure and sacred part of the Daitya River when, he was visited by a glorious Angel, he was the Archangel Vohu Manah, who took him into the presences of the great, glorious, holy, just Lord and God Ahuramazda, who told him he had a very sacred and, important mission to do. He would spread Ahuramazda’s holy message of peace and, hope to the world. In time it would be known as the Zarathustri Mazda Yasni Religion.

The story is about the story of god (Ahuramazda) and the Prophet (Zarathustra) who told of, the holy message of god (Ahuramazda), and the long and hard fight to rid the universe of evil, lie, and deception, As well as the long, and eventful history of Zarathsutris, and endurance of the faith well into the 21rts century.
I personally love, love, love this book because as a Zoroastrian myself it really has helped me grow in my faith in Ahurmazda, the Amesha Spentas, the Yazatas, and the Fravashis, and since I don’t have my own Avesta (Zoroastrian Holy Scripture), and the fact that this book quotes heavily from the Avesta, parts of the translations are the original language which is Avestan, and Pahlavi (Middle Persian), as well as the English translation this book has helped me immensely in growing in my faith, as well as how teach others about the Holy Zoroastrian Faith.

If you’re a newcomer to Zoroastrianism, or you have Zoroastrian friends, or you just want read something knew, I highly suggest this book because it is covers a lot on the Holy Zoroastrian faith, and is well constructed, well thought, and a lot research has gone in to this book highly recommend this awesome book.
