Eric Devine is a High school english teacher in Upstate NY.
Other books he has published are Tap Out, Dare me, and many more. He is an
author who writes books based on his knowledge about high school students.
In Press Play, Greg Dunsmore has always had a passion about
filming but never really got to put it to use. Until his senior year. He's
always been known as the “fat” kid in school. The students always made fun of
him. That he had no friends and a eating disorder. By being bullied everyday of
his whole school year life he wanted to change. To prove them that he’s not
only just a fat kid that has no friends or an eating disorder. He finally
headed to the weight room. Throughout his journey, he runs into complications.
With his passion of filming, he decides to film it all. By filming everything,
he gets himself into more trouble than he was before. During the process of
losing weight and filming, he was able to find himself a couple of friends that
had multiple flaws just like him.
Honestly, I really liked the book. It's quite hard to find a
book that makes me excited to read the next page. But, for Press Play it felt
real as if someone told me their personally story and rewrote it in 3rd person
perspective. It connects to real life which I like. It mixes a bit of romance,
and a lot of action.
