99 Days

The book I read this trimester is ‘99 days’ by Katie Cotugno. Some other popular books she has written is ‘Since You've Been Gone’, ‘How To Love’ and ‘I Never’. Katie typically writes the same type of books involving love, teenagers and drama. This book is about a girl named Molly that god through a lot during her last summer before college. The theme is forget the past and focus on the future.

When Molly was a junior in high school she had an amazing boyfriend named Patrick. Molly and Patrick had been dating for a long time, then they broke up after a big argument about colleges. Patrick's older brother Gabe was the only person there for Molly after the break up, so they became very close and maybe a little too close. Gabe and Molly ended up doing some inappropriate things together and promised not to tell anyone. But Molly confused to her mother and told her everything. You might think that “Oh this is cute she can give her advice and help her!” Nope, not true at all. Molly's mother is a famous book writer and she ends up writing a whole bestselling book about her daughter story. Right away everyone knew the book was about Molly, Patrick and Gabe. Molly got bullied and harassed by everyone, so she moved away for the next school year. But the summer of senior year she came back, and you will have to read the book to see everything that she goes through.

I really liked this book, it made me think about what I would do if I were in Molly situation. It was also different from what usually happens in these kinds of books too. I think the I book was written for teenagers male or female, but mostly female. I don't think all readers would enjoy this book because it has a teenage mindset that not all readers might understand. This book is super interesting and there is always something new happening that you would have never expected to. I never wanted to put the book down, I just wanted to keep reading and reading.

  1. I would love to read this book. It just sounds so interesting but weird I couldn't imagine myself in her shoes especially after everything . But honestly she's brave for telling her mom. Thinking she'll get help, I just can't believe her mom turned on her. I really wanna read this book now.
