Always Emily

The book “Always Emily” by Michaela MacColl is a really great book to read. It's the first book I've ever read from Michaela MacColl. The book made me how i am to my sisters today. It made me have thoughts about me as the older sister and how protective I am of my little sisters. I would love to keep reading books from this author.

In the book “Always Emily” Emily and Charlotte Brontë had lost their sister Elizabeth Brontë when she was at the school Charlotte is a teacher at. Then Emily goes to the school with Charlotte and Emily doesn't like being there because she has to share a bed with other people. One day Charlotte was teaching and Emily feels different and Emily becomes very ill and has to go home and she is reminded of how her sisters died from the same thing. The Brontës found some people they knew for a long time and the girl’s brother Branwell meets with a group of guys that have a secret meeting and Charlotte goes and sees what Branwell is up to and she hides in the chest and she gets locked in there.

I love this book because of how mysterious it is. It was very intense and interesting. This book is for everyone because it shows the importance of family and loving one another. I recommend everyone should read this book “Always Emily” and see the importance of family.
