A Second Shot

It was hard to choose which book to write about because I read many good books this Trimester. I chose the book A Second Shot by Alex Kuskowski, it was my favorite book I read this tri. Wallace is the new kid not trying to get caught up in trouble and he just wants to play basketball and be the star. Then him and a couple other teammates gets caught up in some serious trouble.

A second shot is about a boy that go a new school and he trying to be the best basketball player at there school but it already had an allstar on the team named Deron was a '6"10 superstar. so at basketball tryouts coach made Wallace and Deron play one on one to see if Wallace could be on the team. Wallace ended up beating him so he made the team. Their were these two guys that Deron was supposed to be looking out for while a friend was in jail.

Even though the two guys are trouble, Deron still stuck with them because of the promise he made with the guy in jail. One day after a practice, Deron said he'll give Wallace a ride home with the two boys in the car, all Deron said was he needed to stop at a shoe store to pick up some new kicks. So when they all got to the shoe store, it was late at night and their was only one person protecting the store. The two boys weren't planning on buying the shoes the whole time, then the alarm goes off in the store and Deron pulled off and the two boys left Wallace with the shoes so Wallace started running and the cops caught him. So he went to jail and the two boys Blaise's home for stealing the shoes and that it was Wallace's idea all along. But good prevails eventually and the two boys went to jail instead.

I liked this book because it had sports, action, and mystery and the book itself just interest me, If you don't fit those categories then probably this book isn't for you but you can still try it out and see.
