The book Woods Runner by Gary Paulson is a good history and
action book. On http://www.amazon.com/Woods-Runner-Gary-Paulsen/dp/037585908X
you can buy the book for $7.99. Other books he has written include Hatchet and
Tracker. They relate to each other because they all involve being in nature and
having to live/ survive in it. The theme of this book is that you need to enjoy
your family and appreciate them.
The book Woods Runner is about a 13 year old boy that lives
in the time of the revolutionary war. In the book, his parents are taken by
British soldiers and the young boy, Samuel sets out to find them. During his
adventures, he meets new people and has a couple of setbacks to his plan. He
couldn’t have done anything without the people In the book that helped him.
I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys American
history, and action and adventure books. I would recommend this book because it
shows the true meaning of family and just how far you can go to save them. I
also recommend this book because it shows how people can come together and make
a difference.
Book Review by Sam M.
I like to read survival books and this one looks to be better than a lot of the other ones I've read. I have read Hatchet, and its a really good survival book, this one looks to be way better. This book seems very engaging and sounds like it has a good plot. I think I will read this book over the summer. Thanks book review, I will read it over the summer.
ReplyDeleteI would like to read this book. It looks interesting because I like books about survival stories and how people can keep themselves alive. This book sounds intriguing because it is about history, which is also one of my favorite topics to learn about. I think this book would be very similar to Gary Paulsen's other book, Hatchet which is similar to this one because it is also a survival story. This also may be like the TV show Survivor because it is about how someone has to survive, just like on the show
ReplyDeletethis book sounds very interesting. It sounds decisive and emotional. It also sounds like it has a lot of action because he has to survive and it also takes place in the revolutionary war. This sounds a lot like book i read a while back where a plane crashes and friends have to survive in the wild and they end up becoming really close to each other and relying on each other. I am interested in these types of books that have characters with close bonds and a little action.
ReplyDeleteI have read Hatchet and the book was very action pack, adventure, informational book that I really enjoyed. In plan on reading this book because they help me think and value how much we need everyday needs such as food and water also shelter. This book sounds like a new learning experience that I can learn from. Wilderness has always made me think and reading about how to survive is always fascinating to me. Good book review.
