Go Ask Alice

Go ask Alice Is a diary of a young girl named Alice. The author is Anonymous so there are no other books written by the author Alice, once a shy, innocent girl, is sucked into the heartless world of drugs: All in order to be accepted by. I think the theme is to this book is to stay true to yourself because Alice never stayed true to her values and by that she got sucked in to the drug world.

Alice is a 15-year-old with a passion for the beauty of life. With being new to town she wants to be accepted. She found acceptance though drug: From then on they will change Alice’s way of thinking; it’s no longer her thoughts it’s the drugs and what they want. They bring her; depression, happiness, loneliness and etc. But overall, all she really wants is to be happy and loved; isn’t that what we all want?  After Alice is secretly drugged at a party, she awakens to the exciting adventure that life seems to have become. She starts experimenting with other hard drugs and begins to lose her sanity and grip on reality.

I would recommend this book in a heartbeat! Go ask Alice is my favorite book; it is the best I have ever read. This book had me hooked from the very first entry. This book made me cry, laugh and angry at some parts. It hooks you emotionally because the way she write makes it relatable to almost anyone who reads this book. Also there is not ever a dull moment in this book; there is always something going on. People who would love this book are people who like books like The Perks of Being a Wall Flower; the genre, young adult, social issues and coming of age books. I think anyone who wants a book that will make them emotionally connected, not being able to put the book down and a easy quick read will love this book. So I strongly recommend this book: You wont regret reading Go Ask Alice!

  1. I enjoy reading your review for this book. This sounds like a book most teens can relate to some sort of way. This book sounds like a great book viewing someone else life: how they overcame it or had to face it. It sounds like it has lots of different twists and views about drugs and life. It also shows how drugs affect your way of thinking and actions. This book also sounds kind of emotional. It sounds like there will be anger, happiness, heartbreaks, and sadness. I'm looking forward to reading about this young girls life. I actually thinking about getting it and reading it. I had pleasure reading this review because now its making me want to read it more and more.
