The Mediator: Shadowland by Meg Cobat is about a teenage
girl and how she tries to live her life like a normal teenager. Suze’s mother
is getting remarried meaning that soon she will have to move all the way to
California, into her new house with her new stepfather, and her 3 new
stepbrothers and attend a new school. Suze
isn’t your average teenage girl, she’s a mediator; someone who can communicate
with dead people, so basically she can see and talk to ghosts. And they won’t
leave her alone until she helps them finish any unfinished business. She’s
hoping that at her new home she can leave her old life behind. But luck is
never on her side because not only is there a ghost haunting her new home, it’s
haunting her room. The weird thing about
this ghost is that he doesn’t need her help, He’s simply just hanging around.
But just because he doesn’t need her help doesn’t mean he doesn’t have secrets.
Meg
Cobat is a great author. She’s well known for her book The Princess Diaries. ( http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38980.The_Princess_Diaries?from_search=true&search_version=service
). I would recommend this book to people who love mysteries, fantasy,
adventure, and romance. And if you enjoy this book you can also read the rest
of the series that contain 6 books.
