Taming Fire

The book I read was Taming Fire by Aaron Pogue, the first of the Dragonprince’s Legacy series which you can find here: http://www.amazon.com/Taming-Fire-Dragonprince-Trilogy-Vol/dp/1936559021/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1432839571&sr=8-1&keywords=Taming+Fire.          Aaron Pogue has also written the Ghost Targets series which I will soon begin in reading.

This story is that of a boy named Daven Carrickson and how he comes to be an apprentice for a Master Wizard named Claighan so that he can eventually stop a great evil from. Daven grew up a beggar on the streets of the great city with his father, who was a commonly known thief who died when Daven was still young and is now constantly ridiculed for that fact. Daven runs away out of the city until collapse and ends up a servant to this family for a long couple of years. A long time later, Master Claighan comes up to him and asks of him to become a “new type of weapon” to battle a great threat. Daven takes a lot of bumps and bruises along the way and even ends up giving a couple to others on his way to becoming the new weapon that Master Claighan has been trying to build.

I recommend this book because of its intriguing plot and story it has in it, even though it can be a bit slow at times. If you are the type of person who likes to read fantasy, sci-fi and/or fiction, I think you will really enjoy this book.
