This book is called The Red Pyramid. Its author is Rick
Riorden. That name sound familiar, well it should. Rick Riorden is the author
of The Percy Jackson series of books. This book along with most of his others
is based on mythology. This books mythology is based on Egypt.
In this story two siblings, Carter and Salie, who come from an
ancient magical royal bloodline are informed of what is to be their destiny. After
being fused with the minds of two gods the two discover and explore the newly
transformed world around them, trying to stop the evil plans of another god
Set. Carter and Salie have a cat that turns out to be a goddess sent to protect
them.
I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is
into fantasy books or likes good action books. Don’t wait the sooner the better
because if you start reading you won’t be able to put it down. The plot line
and the cliffhangers are good and makes for an interesting story.
