“May the odds be ever in your favor.”  Every year the capitol chooses two people, a male and female in each district to be a part of their annual Hunger Games. Where they will fight to their death until there is only one victor. Katniss everden and Peeta Mallock were representing district 12 in the games. The Hunger Games is a way for the capitol to show that they are in control of all of the districts. As Katniss fights her way thru the hunger games she is not only fighting against the other nominees but also figuring a way to keep peeta and herself alive but by doing so she must do something about the one victor rule.

The Hunger Games is addicting, mind blowing and an edge of your seat book that keeps you guessing. It is full of surprises and shocking events, that will make you want to read the second book; Catching fire. This is by far one of the best books I have read. The Hunger Games is a page turning that will keep you hooked.
