The title of my book is No disrespect written by Sister
Souljah. Sister Souljaha’s written the coldest winter ever, Midnight a gangsterlove story, Midnight and the meaning of love, a deeper love inside. This book
is an autobiography about her life and how she got out of the rough neighborhood
that she’s in. Sister Souljah talks about her life and the things that she had
to deal with and go through as she was growing and also why she was getting
older and living in the conditions that she was in.
From beginning to end I didn't want to close the book.
Sister Souljah tells it like it’s real. She doesn’t lie in her book. She
doesn’t just tell you want you want to read she tells you everything you don’t
want to read and more. She had to go through some things before reaching a platform
from which she could stage her fight to help empower disenfranchised children.
The book starts off with Sister Souljah living in the
ghetto. She also talks about passionate things in her writing. Sister Souljah
moves with her mom brothers and sisters into the ghetto because it had been
hard times. Mom couldn’t the really anymore. When they get there the apartments
are ugly looking and all you ever really do see is men taking the women for
granted. Them women are letting the men take them for granted even though they
know that almost every man who is living in those apartments have all up and
threw every women at the apartments. The men know that the women have been
threw all of the men to but they don’t care because to the men their addicted
and they don’t care what type of disease those women have cause to them is sex
and as long as the women keep given it up to them they will keep on coming back
for more. The thing that I thought was one of the most interesting things was
for her to open up to hear what the people she was trying to help and the
people who were trying to help her as well to what they were saying.
I really like this book as well as I liked the book Midnight
a Gangster Love story. This book is really intriguing to me. It keeps u guessing
and wanting more. Everybody should read this book because it’s too good to pass
up or to buy and then leave it on the shelves. So you guys should go and check
out this book.
