Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

After being kicked out of just about every other boarding school in New York, Percy Jackson has to go to camp half blood with the other Demi-gods. Before Percy realizes his real power in the world, he goes through a huge realization of what his life hides behind the scenes. He first encounters a mythological creature when on a field trip with his class to the Greek history museum. His math teacher Mrs. Dodds turns into a gargoyle and attacks him.

The elaborately crafted novel by Rick Riordan “Percy Jacksonand the Olympians : The Lightning Thief is an amazing book. Percy battles with the troubles of the mythological creature encounters, and the burden that his mother has been taken. Throughout the book, Percy ignites the power within him that has been kept away for all this time. Percy discovers all of the secrets about the world, and the dangers that lie ahead of him are more than he could ever imagine.

Despite the fact that Percy is a little more naïve to the idea of monsters being real at first, and a little more dialogue than expected, this book is a great read. It makes you develop your perspective on the characters and the aspects the story carries on. Percy Jackson and the Olympians : The lighting thief is a great book for all ages, and a perfectly constructed page turner, from the streets of New York, to the palaces of Olympus
