Number the stars is written by Louis Lowry has wrote many books such as” the giver” and many more this book is based in a true story about a girl and her best friend during world war ll the theme of this story is about how bad Jews were treated back then .

IN 1943 Annemarie Johansen and her jewish best friend ellen rosen are ten years old,growing up in copenhagen,denmark. during world war ll . the nazis are beginning to relocate in her city . the nazis are against Jews and the nazis start shipping them away and putting them into camps where they kill you. Annemarie friend Ellen gets shipped away and she has to find away to get her friend out of the concentration camp without her dying .

I recommended because not only it tells you about your history it tells you about all the bad things that happened back then such as getting shipped off into concentration camps  and dying .
