Evermore

The book I choose for my independent reading is “Evermore(The Immortals#1) by Alyson Noel. The author Alyson made a whole series about how true loves never dies and even when the greatest evil comes love will win, if you don't give up on it.

After the tragic car accident that claims the lives of Ever’s family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom’s life was never the same. Ever has special powers ever since the accident she can hear people's thoughts, see their aura, and know their entire life story with just one touch. She excludes herself from the rest of the school and only has two friends Drina and Miles— but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste.

Damen is the new boy in town that everyone loves. He's wealthy, gorgeous, and mysterious. What catches Ever’s eyes other than his beauty is that he's the only one that can silence he powers in her head. As Ever is drawn deeper in his world of mystery and secrets. The only thing she knows right now is that she's falling deeper and deeper in love with him.

I really loved this book and the whole immortals series because it's about mystery and love. What really made me stick with this book was all the secrets that would unravel which made it harder to stop reading. Evermore(The Immortals#1) targets readers who like a compelling love story and there's a lot of drama from secrets.
