Kirikou and the Sorceress

I read "kirikou and the Sorceress ", by Michel Ocelot .He has also write the "Princes and Princesses","Tales of the night ", and"The three inventors".The protagonist in this book is Kirikou and the antagonist is Karaba the sorceress.

The book"kirikou and the sorceress" is about a tiny boy who was born in an African village.Upon the village is a sorceress called karaba has cast a terrible spell on the village.Spring has dried up,the villagers are being blackmailed by Karaba the sorceress.The village have only women and kids,all the village men somehow have vanished. Karaba the sorceress have a big secret that villagers didn't know ,but only the old man in the mountains knows it.The old men is kirikou grandfather .The only way to get to the old man who lives in the mountains behind Karaba the sorceress is to pass by Karaba the sorceress house .Kirikou so smart has surely find a way through without getting caught.The tiny boy has obviously get to the old man. Finding the secret that will deliver Karaba from being so rude the tiny returned to the village to find a plan to achieve such mission.

The important characters are Kirikou,Karaba and the old men in the mountains.The important conflict is between Kirikou and Karaba and Karaba Vs villagers .One significant external conflict is Karaba Vs villagers.

I highly recommend you read "Kirikou and the sorceress" because it inspired you to read more of African story.
