Monster

The book I read is called Monster and it’s written by Walter Dean Myers. He also written books such as Fallen Angels, Bad Boys and Sunrise Over Fallujah. The book Monster is about A African-American teen named Steve Harmon who is in jail and on trial for murder. While he is in jail Steve is documenting his experience in jail. He may get a life sentence if he is convicted of this crime. Some of the characters are James King and Richard “Bobo” Evans these two are also on trial for murder and could also face a life sentence. Another character is Kathy O’Brien she's Steve attorney but she has doubts about Steve innocence.  Another character is Sandra Petrocelli is the prosecutor she thinks Steve is guilty. I don't like this book because I think it's a stereotype on African American males but it's a good book. I think this book is for African American youth. I think you guys will like this book because it will open your eyes to lots of things and it's an New York Times Bestseller.
