Among the Enemy

The book I read was Among the Enemy by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Actually this author did have other book such as The House on the Gulf, Escape from Memory, Takeoffs and Landing, Turnabout, and Running Out of Time. I’m not sure how this book compare to other books that she have wrote because had read her other books. But by reading this book, I can tell that she is very details, and interesting author. In this book it told us about three kids that escape from the prison. Somehow they have to find a way out. After escape from the prison, now they have to find a way to look for help. By reading this book I feel like it would took place back in the 20th-century, which was really interesting.

In this book it was about three kids try to ran away from the Police (Population Police Officer). The two other kids got hurt badly but the other kid didn’t, so he had to hide them and go out to look for help. They names is Matthias (Boy-11 years old), Percy (Boy-13 years old), and last is Alia (Girl-8 years old). Matthias is the boy who have to save his friends from being injury. Percy got shot in the leg while ran away from the police, which he had lost a lot bloods. Alia is sick and got a high fever temperature. Somehow he got into a battle between police and rebels, he decide to help the police to get away from the battle. The police took Matthias and him back to the headquarter. Matthias give fake a name (“Uh, Roger Symmes” pg. 80) to them when he asked him. When they got to the police base, now this a difficult position because his friends are back in the place where he hide them so he have to go back as soon as possible. Now, he had to find a way out of the headquarter.   

I like this book a lot because it was a really interesting story to read, I didn’t want to stop after this awesomeness book. I recommend you guys to read this book and also check out her other books too, because the other books have to be good. I can’t recommend any other books other than Among the Enemy, also let you guys know that she does have other books so make sure to read them. This book was a really good, awesome, and interesting books, I am sure that if you read it than you won’t stop.
