The title of this book is called Blood, Blood is a part of
the Fearless book series. This book is written by Francine Pascal. Francine is
most known for her other book series called Sweet Valley High. Blood is about a
girl named Gaia. Gaia is tough and fearless. She is not used to opening up to
people. However, she had recently gotten close to this one girl named Mary.
Mary was recently shot and Gaia is determined to murder the one who had killed
Mary. Shutting out and hurting another close friend who she has opened up to,
Ed.
Gaia is in foster care. Her father works with the agency and
that causes some bad experiences to happen in her life. She is living with her
cluelessly in love foster father, George. He used to work in the agency with
her dad. She also lives with her scheming, lying, and unpleasant foster mother,
Ella. George is in love with Ella, but Ella is only there to spy on Gaia for a
man named Loki, who does not like Gaia's real father, Tom Moore. Loki is trying
to get Gaia to be 100 percent cold hearted so he can take advantage of her. He
watches her and pays attention to the things or people that make her happy or
"soft". In the last book when Gaia started to get close to a girl
named Mary, Loki shot her. Gaia is now extremely depressed. She is determined
to kill and hurt whoever killed Mary. She shuts everybody she loves or who
loves her out. She figures that way, nothing bad would happen to them and that
they'd be better off without her. Ed Fargo. Ed had been nothing but real to
Gaia ever since they had met each other. He made her realize things about love,
and friendship. All they ever did was annoy each other but they deeply care for
one another. This is why Gaia shuts him out. She doesn't want anything to
happen to him. Gaia is an interesting character, she does the worse to the
people she cares about for THEIR safety. This is also quite annoying because,
she acts like she doesn't mean anything to anybody.
This book is overly dramatic, and annoying but I can't stop
reading the next book that comes because of all the cliff hangers. The
characters are all hateful and feel distant from everyone they are close to.
There are many schemes that happen and will not give Gaia a break. She is
always bothered and I'm waiting for her to be happy and everybody around her as
well. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books with a lot of
action, drama, and loves reading things that keep them on feet. I wouldn't
recommend this to anyone with a short attention span because, there are always
many cliff hangers that happen at the end of each book. Cliff hangers about
love, other characters or someone connected to Gaia used as a threat. I really
recommend this book only if you read the first books because, it will confuse
you in many, many ways.
