Dororo

Recently, I have read this book called Dororo. The author of this book is Osamu Tezuka. There are three books to this series. Part one gives us a little information about the main character’s background and personality. Since this is the only book I’ve read from this author so I can't compare to his other books. Though, I think this book is awesome. It talks about this guy name Hyakkimaru trying to find 48 parts of his body taken away by 48 demons. The theme of this book is god and spirituality.

Lord Daigo Kagemitsu wished to trade 48 parts of his future son’s body to demons to rule the entire country. Hyakkimaru is known as the baby who was abandoned by Lord Daigo and was saved, raised by a doctor walking by while picking his medicinal herbs. The doctor helped Hyakkimaru build body parts and was trained to be a normal person. However, things don't go so well. Demons and evil gods keep following Hyakkimaru. He knew he had to fight and kill 48 demons to get 48 parts of his body back. Soon, Hyakkimaru began his journey.

On his trip, he met this kid called Dororo. This boy is known as the kiddie thief, his parent is one of the greatest thief of all. However, Dororo’s parent are all dead. Poorly, he have no one to take care of him so he just go around and find food to eat. At first, Dororo wanted Hyakkimaru’s hand sword so he keep following Hyakkimaru trying to get the sword. Throughout most of the journey, they became a close friend, they share their story and secrets to each other.

So far, I love the first series of the book already. It's very interesting and cool. I would totally recommend this book to everyone out there. Whether you like to read or not, this book will attract your attention till the end. It won't take long to read because it's short. Each section, chapter and series is unique and special. For sure this book will make you smile or laugh. Go on and find this book online or at your local library and read now. Don't miss out this awesome book!
