The Book Thief

In Nazi Germany, a girl who's brother just died, is separated from her mother. Her only physical memory of this day that will haunt her dreams forever, is a book that a grave digger dropped. This is the first of many acts of thievery for Liesel Meminger, The book thief.

When she is adopted by her new papa and mama, her life takes a tremendous turn. Her papa helps her learn to read, which only leads to much more book stealing. She also makes friends that play big parts in her life, whether they involve stealing or not.

This little girl, who survives times of terror mainly by reading, creates a great story. I loved it and I would suggest it to anyone. It's a great book filled with suspense and much more.
