Uglies

The title of this book is Uglies. The author of this book is Scott Westerfeld. This book is in a series of four books. Uglies, pretties, specials, and extras. I have read all the books in the series and they are excellent. The moral of the story is to give people a fun action packed story to keep their imaginations fresh.  

This story is about a girl named tally and shes is about to turn sixteen. When kids turn sixteen they have an operation which will make them flawless and pretty. After the operation they are taken to a high tech area where they party non stop and do nothing but have fun, but tally meets a girl named shay and they become best friends. Shay isnt quite sure that she wants to have the operation done so she runs away, but she has a reason for not wanting it. Shay has a theory that when you have the operation you become different and unable to think for yourself, and shes right. Tally has to choose whether to go after her friend or stay and have the operation done.

The overall story was about a girl named Tally that meets a girl named Shay. Talley has to decide whether to have the operation that makes her pretty and dumb or to run away with shay. I would tell anyone that likes adventure and things about the future to read this. It keeps you busy and helps you escape from you everyday normal life. The author puts a lot of time and details into the characters.
